Our Nursery
We aim to help children develop positive social interactions with peers and adults alike. We encourage good manners and consideration for the needs of others. Children learn through play. At Seashells Nursery we offer creative, educational, imaginative, physical and environmental activities inside and outside to develop enquiring minds and motor skills through self-expression and investigation. Growing children need to develop in a more challenging environment. Our aim is to meet those challenges and ensure they have the necessary skills, concepts and confidence to meet the next stage of their development. We also work closely with local schools to make your child’s transition to school as smooth as possible.
Transfer To School
When your child transfers to school we use Kent County Council's unique child format. These are prepared by the nursery and signed by parents/carers. They are then sent to the school of choice with parents/carers also receiving a copy.
Throughout your child’s time at Seashells Nursery we monitor their progress, recording achievements and development in your child's Individual Learning Journal. Parents have the opportunity to contribute to the Learning Journals and are invited to parents meetings three times during the academic year to discuss their child's progress.
